I'm sure we had one of these before?

Anyway, for insomniacs, night-shifters, hammering-frozen-sausages-into-my-neighbours-lawners or some-other-reasoners, your thread has arrived

Why are you up at this ungodly hour?

I'm sitting watching an unchanging cctv image in a kid's home, trying to find inspiration to turn the next page on my NVQ booklet...

...got to be someone out there who's awake and having a better time than me!?!?!?

Unsure if we should allow you foreign types in!?

My shift starts at 15:30, but as I usually only do one night-waking a week I don't usually get any sleep beforehand, so I've been up since 06:30! I won't get home until 08:00, then I'll grab a couple of hours sleep spooning the Westie...

I have just finished making these for a client:

As I type he is driving to London (from Dover) to give them to his customer who can then finish building their bike for the Bike Shed Docklands exhibition which starts in seven hours!!
Very nice. Much rather be doing something like that for work, however I am a disaster with anything mechanical!

Like spooning a human, but replace the little-spoon human with a West Highland Terrier...

Thought I'd update this thread...

I've been here nearly 80hrs! Wife had to bring me new clothes and brought the dog in to see me!

Just filled in the timesheet for the above week...

40hrs basic
48hrs overtime + 7hrs nightwaking + 5 sleep-in shifts = £££!

By the time I get out of here Monday morning, I'll have been here for a months worth of hours in 9 days! Not awake for all of it, obviously. Tonights nightwaking entertainment included a Magnus Walker session (and PH, of course)
