Central London: poncey place for a late-ish drink?

I'm fulfilling a long-held ambition on Wednesday night and gong to Ronnie Scott's in Soho.

Not massively ideal arrangements, but am working late in London and staying over, so am going to take the chance and shoe-horn a visit to the midnight show there...looking forward to it even though I'll have to be up early the next day for work.

I'll arrive in central london around 10.30 pm...any recommendations for somewhere suitably poncetastic to have a couple of drinks before I go to RSs...which is right in the middle of Soho.

Nothing too busy or noisy...maybe a hotel bar with a bit of eye candy? Or a cocktail lounge? Or whats the best old fashioned boozer in walking distance from there?

I've always fancied one of those ridiculous places where rich people and royals go to in Mayfair...Tramps or somewhere like that? Might be a bit of fun for an hour or so...and i might be allowed in as it'll be early.

Anyway, any thoughts/recommendations/experience?
