I must admit I shop in Aldi quite a bit. I'm just amazed by what you can find there. A 3D printer for £299?

Anyone else found or bought anything you might not expect or are impressed by?

Anything tasty or of decent quality.
I've bought quite a few of their rib-eye steaks recently and they've been lovely. They often have some really nice red wines to go with them.

I'm guessing stores must vary quite a bit as the Truro one is perfectly acceptable. Certainly no horror stories thus far anyway.

Can I ask how many you've been too? I'm not being flippant, simply interested. I just wonder if the stereotype colours peoples opinion, or whether it's through personal experience or both? I've just been to their Redruth store, which admittedly is fairly new, but it was no better or worse than the local Sainsbury's. There was a good choice of food stuffs and I bought some lovely ham. The salad stuff wasn't the best, but it was clearly the last of the days stock. The fruit looks great though.

What does your link have to do with this thread?
Erm, nothing. It's an error.

Went to Aldi a few hours ago, checked the sandwich bit and nothing (checked labels too incase out of stock) so must vary by store.

Instead picked up a £20 Milk Warmer/Frother laugh Should come in handy for milk before kids bedtime/my hot chocolates over winter.

They sell some lovely hot chocolate.

It was the worst retail environment I have ever seen, almost to the extent they deliberately made it bad to emphasise the cheapness
Isn't that one of the ways they're able to make their stuff cheaper?

I look at that whilst there, at 60%+ sugar content I would expect it to be lovely... Will stick to the purer stuff I already use.
Was that the Twinings Swiss? Says 18% unless am looking at wrong thing?
