PH Secret Santa 2018 - Rogue Custard: A Santae Story!

First things first, yes I know it's only Septemeber however seeing as Waitrose (natch this being PH and all) are already selling tubs of Roses and also that it takes quite alot of organising I decided now was the time to start. We had a late start to the year in 2017 and ended up a few late entries that took alot of time to resolve, I am hoping to avoid that this time around.

Now, onto the main feature;



I believe this will be the seventh annual PH Secret Santa Thread and my second as the Grande Fromage and also my last. It takes up alot of time but I like the idea of a second act and also handing over the batton for 2019!

2017 was a great year and thank you to everyone who took part and made it a success, we managed a 100% hit rate in the end I believe :highfive:

Fellow SSPH'ers we are into Season 2 of my rule, one where I your trusted keeper of the Santaes sack will enable a second emptying of that sack onto your willing (or not so willing) victim!

As it seems is traditional, I'll copy & paste parts of last years thread opener + rules, although there are some slight alterations.

Basic Format:

• Starting from right now, register your interest by sending me a PM with your details on (summary of required details is in the rules below)
• Closing date for entry is 10pm on Sunday 4th November 2018
• Shortly after (the following week) you'll receive an email with your victim "gift recipient's" details
• Start stalking your victim "recipient". Checking through post history, getting to know your target, learning about them, researching Facebook, disguising yourself to follow closely etc are all part of the fun. Use your newly gained info wisely to decide on the perfect gift for your target.
• Once purchased, wrap your gift and post to your target. Target spend is £10 plus P&P (Feel free to spend more if you wish but there is no pressure here!)
• Drop me an email to let me know it's been dispatched
• Sit back and wait until Christmas Day when you can open your gift!

If you need to get a message to either your Secret Santa or victim "giftee" (got to stop doing that!), send me a PM.

Every now and again I will type out a list of anonymous messages and list who they are for. This will save people giving away their identity and revealing themselves to their SS. I will endevour to do this on a daily basis however I have a job (like many one here) that doesnt involve sitting in board meetings and stroking a goatee so occasionaly there may be a delay but rest assured I will post up messages wherever and whenever possible!

PH Secret Santa 2018 Rules:

• Secret Santa, add your name to the list and then pop me a PM with your username, real name, address, a small list of likes/dislikes and whether NSFW things are acceptable (according to The Guv from previous years, nobody wants to open a box containing a dildo in front of little Johnny on Xmas morning). If you don't supply information, it'll be assumed you're happy with whatever you get!
• Anybody with allergies or things, please mention in the email
• Target spend is £10 + postage (Spending more is at the senders discretion)
• There will likely be a few international PH'ers involved. If you don't want to pay that little extra for postage please say in your email. If you are a kind hearted soul and actually want an international PH'er then please say this (there is, I believe, one or two PHers around the 'Ring/Spa etc). Any secret Santas without a preference will be used in the case there are not enough people volunteering to do it
• Closing date is 10pm Sunday 4th November. During the following week I will issue everyone an email with the details of your Secret Santa. This is a strict cut off date - if you snooze you lose I'm afraid
• Non-senders of gifts will be named and shamed & potentially suffer VBRJ - anyone have a can of red bull or some frozen sausages handy?
• If a person has specifically requested NOT to receive a certain gift (a common example being a dildo), please do not send them it - that's just not cricket
• Also, if you haven't received a gift near to Christmas let me know. Christmas mail is busy and some of the post to international PH'ers may take longer
• All record of addresses will be destroyed after secret santa is completed
• Photographs of received gifts to be posted on this thread upon opening

There may be occasional updates to the rules above, please keep an eye on them.

As I've said above, and will reiterate again, the closing date and time is the closing date and time. If you'd like to get involved then please do sooner rather than later.

In the recent years we've had an extremely high percentage of success, if you are not 100% sure you can participate, then please don't sign up. If you don't deliver, you have the potential to ruin someone's Christmas! Oh, and being on the receiving end of a mob with pitchforks and torches!

If there are any issues, PM me and I'll do my best to sort it out.

I'll add a table here of all those involved in due course.

The spend is still set at £10 plus P&P. I know for a fact that most people spend more than that each year (it's easy when you get caught up in the excitement and see the absolutely perfect item online). It really is up to you how much you spend, anymore is totally at your discretion.

If I've missed anything, I'll update as/when.

There will be times I am unavailable, but it shouldn't be for more than a day or two at a time. Please bear with me as despite what you may believe, PHSS - 2018 isn't the only thing I have to do!

We had 50 last year so we are only 10 short thus far with still just under a month before the closing date we will be ok, last year we had like 10 people sign up either on closing day or just after, don't worry you will all soon be stalking unsuspecting people

I just popped a note into the "More frivolous purchases, stuff you don't need.." thread as this should be right up most peoples alley in there.

I can't think of much else to promote it, am sure we will be fine, there is usually a last minute surge.
