Finally unpacking after moving house in the Spring and unwrapped this oddity. Given to us by a dear friend on our wedding anniversary in 2010. It is by far the oddest thing we own and there is a funny story behind it.

Apologies for the orientation!!

Double L?
yes
It was a very expensive piece of porcelain sent off to be engraved and silvered and returned to my friend who was in corporate hospitality in the City. It arrived at her office the day before with, as the beady eyed have figured, an extra l in Miliband.

Now I have it!

Not sure what he got!!!

A Koran and prayer beads found at a house that ISIS fighters had fled in a hurry, near Mosul. I always wondered if it would be risking bad karma bringing them into my house.

I don't know about odd, but I have a WW2 'First Field Dressing', still stitched into its cloth bag. It was carried throughout the the war by my Dad and though he was blown off his feet when a torpedo hit HMS Kelly, it remains unused. He once told me that it wasn't intended for him, it was for his 'oppo' if he got injured.
Photo please.
