Couldn't find a thread on this - O2 data seems to be down UK wide, but can't see any reason why anywhere... Anyone here know more detail beyond this:

O2 Said said:
We’re aware that our customers are unable to use data this morning. One of our third party suppliers has identified a global software issue in their system which has impacted us. We believe other mobile operators around the world are also affected. Our technical teams are working with their teams to ensure this is fixed as quickly as possible. We’d encourage our customers to use Wifi wherever they can and we apologise for the inconvenience caused.

Took me a while to work out that there was a problem - I assumed it was an "O2 has cut me off again" problem.

The blame has shifted to "third parties" though...

Ft says Ericsson

The issue related to Ericsson equipment, according to two people with direct knowledge of the situation. The Swedish company is also a supplier to SoftBank in Japan.

A spokesman for Ericsson declined to comment. O2 did not name the supplier but confirmed it was not Huawei, the Chinese company whose chief financial officer was arrested in Canada on Saturday.
Seems odd that this is a global fault - You'd have thought an upgrade would be done on a region-by-region basis...
