Best cheap suit

I have recently lost a load of weight & tried to get my Austin Reed suit altered but it was too much weight loss & it doesn't look right - looks OK at frnt but back of jacket & trousers looks a bit odd.
I would like to buy a new suit. I have literally zero need for one. But feels wrong not to have one in the wardrobe.
I don't wear one for work, don't leave the house for work, don't need one for customer meetings, don't have an office.
However on the offchance of a job interview (I am well placed in a stable job so this is unlikely) I may need one
I will not spend more than £280 + alterations.
Enough for a sale very entry level Hugo Boss, Reiss, M&S or John Lewis type one
Any comments on which is best quality or any brands worth looking at?
