You don’t see the old saucy postcards so much these days, that was always a traditional thing & we used to love sending & receiving them.
The “chuckable” ones like this would be welcome too.
Basically...anything that isn’t too rude & can raise a smile. jester

Wokeness and snowflakes will have killed that sort of thing off.
Although bizzarely birthday/celebration cards like that are easy to get scratchchin
Very true... Now they would either be covered up on the top shelf or an ‘under the. Counter’ job. mad
Ok, A bit Crude / rude or double innuendo... but where’s the harm in that.

Now I work from home I do see a bit of day time tv first thing. I’m surprised but not offended that “ on the buses” , tales of the unexpected and George and Mildred etc are on. Actually ditto minder, sweeny etc. Although because I’m a bit sad : the minder FB group I’m part of , people keep saying there’s a lot chopped out.

Arthur asking Terry about his “birds” isn’t acceptable anymore it seems.
Perhaps Terry was a secret twitcher or bred Finches etc.
Watched Benny Hill over Christmas... but that came with a healthy ‘ acceptable at the time’ warning.

I had a poster of this on my bedroom wall about 30 years ago. I lived a few minutes walk away from the scene. I'm sure this is cropped in width but I can't find a wider version - I think the poster was A2. The artist also lived in Bognor so most of it is accurate, and not appropriate for a 13-year old to have on his wall :-)

biglaugh... & there’s me looking for Wally. rolleyes

I'm not sure it's wokeness, probably more changing fashions.
It like, nobody really tells a joke these days...as it seems more of “have a look at this”.
Miss somebody telling a joke, & then messing it up. scratchchin

The carousel battles...
Just thought of spinning the carousels outside the shops, only for it to be spun back & receiving an icy glare. biglaugh

My sister bought my parents this card for their wedding anniversary about 10 years ago - they were in their 80s.

They thought it was very funny and it is now framed and on the wall.
