I am selling a business on ebay, I have put it as buy it now or best offer.

I was also going to put it for sale elsewhere. so put that in add

ebay have removed the advert with the following message. (Why do they have to use their own messages system and not email you?)

Unfortunately, we had to remove your item because the way it was listed breaches our policy:

You stated in your listing "This is also advertised elsewhere".
How long has this been happening? I could understand if this was a auction with no reserve but this is a business for sale which they would have to view.

I bloody hate tts like you who insist on putting :reserve to end early as its listed elsewhere" crap. Its just a lame excuse to end the auction if its not reaching the money you want. Well boo fking hoo, try putting the reserve to what you want next time, instead of wasting everyones fking time.
Did you actually read the OP or are you just feeling like shouting random bks?
Thank you ND.

Rotary, completly understand your rattle being thrown out, but this was a Buy it now or best offer. It is not an Auction. I do not agree with the statement on auctions but this was not an auction. it was Buy it now or best offer.

To others, there are better places to sell but thought take a punt on ebay before getting newspaper ads etc.

Made the post as I had not seen this happen before.

Well if you read the OP, ebay clearly states that its a breach of their policy. Ive also lost count the number of times ive bid on something, only for it to be pulled down because it was "sold elsewhere" and then to be back on ebay the next day.

You cant pick and choose which ebay rules you want to follow, and then whine that people abuse ebay.
Yes and in my OP I asked how long have they done this for. Thought I was following the rules, but if somebody elsewhere had offered me money for the business do I say " oh no can't accept as must not remove ad from ebay"?

Well now you're just being stupid. If they want to sell it for so much, I've no problem with that. Stick it up with that amount as the reserve, and if it doesn't sell, tough. Don't go listing it with a stupidly low amount that you have no intention of letting it go for, and when it doesn't reach what you want, pulling it with some crap excuse that it was sold elsewhere 10 seconds before the listing ends.

If i thought the seller was wanting too much, i just wouldn't bid, not whine i thought it was too much.
Erm. I didn't put it on auction it was Buy it now or make an offer. Therefore no reserve
