A friend booked a wake up call by dialing 100 from the phone and received a booking ref of the wake up call.

Now the wake up call was never received. The fact that the chap at the end of the phone gave a ref number does suggest that it must have been booked?

Does anyone work for BT or know how it might have happend?

The phone provider is Virgin so are saying as 100 is a free number, they don't have a record of the call...

I know I know - they are already getting stick for this don't worry. I'm just trying to find out why...

More info, they dialed 100 from the phone who is with Virgin Media and a real person picked up - dialing 100 from a bt line gets you a automated menu...

Is this true - am not near a virgin line...

No sorry I'm not getting all of the story.

It is a virgin wake up call not BT !

Will ask again though..

Does anyone know what happens when you dial 100 from a virgin media land line?

He's an idiot then. They charge 7 quid.

Dialling 55 does the same thing for 29p.
So let me get this straight, you dial 55 and you get a virgin wake up call for 29p.

Thats *55* enter number and # on a BT line.
