I am looking at renting somewhere in Warrington and was wondering if anyone know of any particularly good areas, I'd be commuting to Liverpool every day so that leave Stockton Heath/etc out due to them being the other side of the town and congestion.

Also, I've never rented a house on my own before (Always shared)... How much is a good house in that area PCM and can you negotiate rents with estate agents?

I'd also need a garage, seen some places for around £600 PCM in Great Sankey that seem to fit the bill.

Any thoughts?

Thanks, the A562 is a better road for me going into Liverpool (I work around the Airport area)

I know Warrington gets a lot of bad press but I find it ok, as long as it has a garage for my Motorbike and isn't really really 'dog on a string' rough then I don't mine smile

I've seen quite a few 'Coach Houses' advertised that look very nice outside, anyone have experience of them?

The place is actually for me and my girlfriend, she works in Warrington town centre so we'd like to be closeish, but we'd both like to avoid the traffic, she works at times that Warrington is very congested, and I tend to work from around 10am, and I ride a motorcycle so traffic is no object to me biggrin

That looks nice smile

Is it unreasonable to look for a Furnished Place with a Garage for that money? I've no idea if £600 is a big or small budget for the area...

I'll take a look, thanks!

As single minded as it is, I automatically get images of chavvy estates full of scroungers when I think 'New build'... Am I right or are some of them actually good? :/

The rush-hour traffic in Warrington is a nightmare, so i'd suggest somewhere near a train-line. Newton-le-Willows has great rail access and is a nice place with some great restaurants, and 5 minutes from the M62.

Plus you'll be near to a PH'er thumbup

Have a look on Rightmove. If there's any particular property you're interested in and you want me to do a drive-by just let me know.
Thanks for the offer smile My better half lives in Warrington at the moment so it's not too much of a bother to go and look.

I'm not worried about me getting into work, it's an easy drive/ride along the A562 at the times of day that I go, I don't think she'll have problems in traffic from that end of Warrington, as apparently the main places of congestion are Winwick Rd and the like smile

Would anyone go for a house like this?

http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-to-rent/proper...

The street looks pretty nice

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&source=s_q&a...

But they said the property needs some TLC?

Driveway is massive though, we have 2 cars and a motorbike between us.

I imagine it'd be long term, yeah that's what I thought, my girlfriend thought we might be able to absolutely batter the price down though, The interior really is horrible though.

Aye I saw that one, I think it's going to be quite hard not to get a new build for our budget really (600PCM odd)

I need a garage though really, I hate keeping my bike outside frown

Does it have an easy route into Warrington in the morning though? Traffic can be terrible in certain parts frown

Going to look at some places in Great Sankey, thanks, also saw a nice Bungalow in Thelwall but the area is probably a bit too 'old' for us smile
