I've been having some health problems recently and ive recently been told by the opticans that i need glasses. I have a astigmatism in both eyes but its only slight in one of them.

I spend alot of time working on my netbook and laptop with my job and and i often have my eyes about 10 inches away from the screen.
My vision is pixelated like white noise and its worse when its dark or im looking at large white/black surfaces.Ive been told im short sighted because looking at small print is not a problem.

What i would like to know is could my prolonged computer use have caused the short sighted and fuzzy vision?

Also if i didn't wear my glasses that i have been prescribed would my vision get worse?

My prescription;

Right
Sph:0.25 Cyl:1.50 Axis:104

Left
Sph:0.50 Cyl:1.00 Axis:80

Any help greatly appreciated.

why would you not wear the glasses?
Ive heard that relying on your glasses all the time and make your eyes worse?

and glasses can really suit people but in my case they dont suit my shape face at all.

I don't think I've ever seen someone that has a face not suitable for glasses.
It's not just them suiting me tho it's getting use to having them on my face, trying not to sctrach them
and the general hassle of wearing glasses etc.

I've heard different things about weraing them,

Like not wearing them will make your eyes worse or wearing them all the time can make your eyes worse by
them always relying on the glasses.

Just after some clarity really.
