Yeah I've seen a lot of the P90X stuff. I've actually got the programme downloaded but haven't done it. Not full on. Only use the cardio workouts on it. Which work well.

Read a review online this morning from a guy who do it and he said he struggled because it was so intense.

Reading back over the old threads, not many people seem to finish these dvds / programmes.

I would like to think if I started one then I could finish it. smile

Day 2 complete...

Plyometric Cardio Circuit.

First real test and yes it will a test. I'm fairly test but not anywhere near that standard yet. I poured of sweat. But definitely feeling good afterwards. Used a little muscle rub on the legs afterwards to help them recover for tomorrow. This definitely is intense and I am starting to see why it can give you results in a short period of time.

I couldn't do all the exercises I needed to rest a little more but I pushed myself as much as I could and I'm pleased with the amount of effort. Just got to keep it up.

Bring on day 3.

Day 3 ...

Complete!

This again was intense and hard work. Dripping of sweat all over. My calfs are really tight this morning. The 10 minute stretches in the middle of the workout are very hard when your not very flexible etc like myself. But hopefully this will come easier each day. Well that is what Shaun T keeps telling me! haha!

Definitely feel like it is working, no where near the level of fitness that the guys on the video has but hopefully after the 60 days that I'm going to be better than I am now.

I'll keep you posted.

Cardio Recovery tonight so hopefully be a little easier! (hoping)

Nice one mate, I'll be honest I took the piss out of one of the lads initially when he told me he was doing this DVD called insanity a few years ago, but I've stolen so many of the exercises which I use for classes, even yesterday I took one of the Superbike riders for a short session after a lap of Cannock on the Mountain Bike and used suicides, diamond press, plank press etc etc to finish off on. What I like is even when you go away on holiday just take a couple of DVDs with you.
Definitely ... The I'm off to America for a couple of weeks in Sept so I will have finished the 60 days by then. So I plan to take some with me to keep me going. I have them all downloaded on my Ipad.

Hopefully with be a bit trimmer and leaning by that time. Fingers crossed.

Day 4 complete.

Cardio Recovery.

Basically 35 mins of Yoga / Stretching.

Feeling much more at ease this morning. Muscles are not feeling as stiff and sore which is good. Should put me in good stead for tonights workout.

Never been one for stretching and flexibilty so it did come hard last night and I couldn't hold some of the stretches for the period of time required but I pushed my self to as much as I could do.

Eating well and got my diet to the plan required. Feeling much better with my body already only after a few days so hopefully come monday when I weigh I might see an improvement.

day 5 and 6 are complete.

Today was cardio Abs. Feeling under worked out tonight to be honest. It was only about 16 minutes long. Yes some exercises I couldn't hold for as long etc but it just seemed to be over very quickly.

Rest day tomorrow then weigh in monday morning and back at it for week 2.

Feeling good!

First week over.

Weighed this morning and good news. Now standing at 12 stone 0 and 3/4. So exactly 4 pound lost so pretty pleased with this.

However ...

Looking at the plan for tonight I did notice that on Saturday I should of done a different workout than I did. So not sure how I mixed that up but back on track tonight, feeling refreshed after a day off so ready to go. Only 8 more weeks to go! smile

Did you genuinely give it 100%? Maybe do the workout twice next time?
Like I said in my next post. I done the incorrect workout on saturday. The Ab workout is just a bolt on so to speak to other workouts thats why I didn't feel like I done much saturday night. Not sure how I over looked it but must of just read the plan wrong. So got to put in extra effort tonight. And yes I have given 110% every workout so far. I have dripped of sweat and been stiff most of the week. Even with extra stretches and supplements to help reduce this.

Nope. Just haven't had chance to log on.

Day 9 yesterday.

Pure Cardio. Was a killer again. The workout is about 39 minutes I believe first 9 is warm up and the next 10 is stretches and then it is about 16/17 minutes of just non stop cardio work. 1 minute per exercise. Doesn't sound a lot but it gets you going!!

Pleased with my progress so far though. Eating correctly, following the plan.

I've got the recovery session tonight so that was about 35 mins of yoga basically so that should be good. But I've got preseason footie training tonight as well which is a cross country run for about 45 minutes. So this is extra to the programme. So got that then the recovery session after so should be dead later tonight.

Will keep you posted on the progress will take photos after this week to compare to the first lot.

Don't worry I'm not giving up that easily! wink

It's anything but boring to be honest. Your so wrapped in to pushing yourself to the max that you forget about the time and before you know it, it's over and your blowing and puring with sweat.

10 days down so far.

Got to disagree I've done it in my front room to learn the moves for lessons I take, the reason I learnt the format is due to people finding it interesting on lessons. It's different, you need no equipment and a spare 40minutes.
I've put all the videos on my ipad and I do it in the garage. Don't need hardly any room it is all done on the spot. The round the world jumps and the 123 heisman prob take up the most amount of room but still that's not a great deal of room needed.
