well i woke up Thursday morning feeling like i had been abducted and had the full anal probe job.... skip forward a day or so and i think i could have been raped in my sleep by satan himself and the pain is getting worse starting to hurt when i cough or walk or wipe my arse..... as usual being a normal bloke i go through all the internet forums thinking the worst. not slept due to the arse pain in 3 days, well today Monday i wake up from a very broken sleep due to the pain and have to go to work, even sitting in the car was agony let alone walking to it... for the first half of the day sitting at my desk was torture, finally went to the loo and there was a pop... whatever it was had burst.. blood and puss dripping out but bloody hell the relief, still very sore but not what it was this morning, about half an hour ago i sprayed some germaliod hc on my arse followed by some germalene cream, my god how good is the spray !!! about an hour on i am totally fine , the germaline is just to stop any further infection from the burst haematoma, but hell its good.... just wondering how many other blokes had woke up in the morning in agony with their arses and if its kinda normal.... usual funny remarks expected... seriously though this morning i could have cried it hurt so much... one of the vilest pains ive ever had . The other half wanted me to see the doc... me being a normal bloke with an exit only sign didn't fancy another blokes digit up my arris !!!
Ouch!

Been there done that.
How on earth can you be in so much pain and not go to the GP??? Its nuts. No wonder so many men die from things that could be treated. A GP looks at all sorts of nonsense during the day, you really think he cares what body part you need dealing with???
Also - if it was that bad he could have lanced it on day 1 so you have 60 secs of feeling silly followed by feeling great.

after it popped yesterday, i got some medical advice. a good spray of germaloud hc followd by a dab of germaline antiseptic... no more pain just feel a little bruised. but at least the pain is gone, i can sit down, i had a good nights undisturbed kip too. nice to be on the mend it truley was awful. As for the doctor...yeah stupid i know but thats us men for you. I had decided though if it didnt sort itself by the end of the week i would bite the bullet and go.
Haematoma is just a sort of manky bruise, isn't it?
So if there's pus involved then maybe it's an abscess... either way if it gets more painful, starts oozing again or if you get a high temperature then you'll need to go straight back to your GP.
Had an abscess on my tum a couple of months ago. Was vile. Felt a LOT better once it, er, ruptured.

With all due disrespect, you're not a normal bloke, you're a fking idiot. Still, die young of prostate cancer because you're absolutely determined not to be thought of as a bender, see if I care.I remember a mate saying years ago "i'd rather have prostate cancer than a doctors finger up my bum" - I remember thinking, WTF? I've had headaches where I'd have a doctors digit if it cured me...let alone something you die from!
Maybe it's having been at 3 c-sections (my kids, I dont stalk hospitals for such things!) - seeing the insides of someone (my wife!) while the doctors discussed the merits of Bon Jovi V George Michale made me realise, its just body bits to these guys - elbow, back side, spleen, toe. It's like not going to a mechanic because the problem is with an exhaust!

Absolutely right. The OP is clearly homophobic. "normal bloke, exit only, some blokes finger up me 'arris". Sad really.Maybe it's having been at 3 c-sections (my kids, I dont stalk hospitals for such things!) - seeing the insides of someone (my wife!) while the doctors discussed the merits of Bon Jovi V George Michale made me realise, its just body bits to these guys - elbow, back side, spleen, toe. I can imagine his loved ones at his funeral. "Shame he was only 55 when he died, but hey, at least he never let some poofter quack stick their finger up his jacksy. Yeah, he was a real man!"
Well, for an extra 30 yrs of life, with my wife and kids and one day grandkids perhaps, they can stick what they want up me. And if that makes me less of a man in some people's eyes, that's a price I'm willing to pay.

A few things... Firstly as a doctor I have met several people who have unfortunately vastly reduced their chances of survival by delaying seeking medical advice...
Secondly over 50% of the current intake into UK medical schools is now FEMALE. I note despite the outrageously homophobic nature of the opening post the author doesn't acknowledge the posibility of seeing a female doctor. This persisting attitude is why despite introducing myself as "Dr", performing only things which would be done (you would hope) by a doctor and wearing clothes only a doctor would wear I am still repeatedly addressed as "Nurse".... sigh....
Thirdly... performing a digital rectal examination is entirely part of a normal day at the office for many doctors. After roughly the second one you stop feeling any sort of embarassment and can forget it that it's probably something the patient may unsettled about. The vast majority of us will request a chaperone to be present also.
OP you are an idiot... just try not to end up dying of it, okay?

Top post. Can you acquire common sense by osmosis? If so, if the OP reads this, there might be hope for him yet. Secondly over 50% of the current intake into UK medical schools is now FEMALE. @ Twigtherwonderkid ... how fking dare you call me homophobic you dhead.... just because i didnt fancy a finger up the arse... you total fking twunt !!! my brother happens to be batting for the other team and is my best friend, DO NOT JUDGE !!! yeah i was stupid for not getting it checked out i admit that but how many other blokes simply hate going to the docs and think however stupidly things will clear up. well just for the record i did go to the doc. he prodded and poked around , we laughed about the fact i was SIMPLY EMBARRASSED TO POINT MY ASS IN A DOCS FACE... thing is it was a simple haematoma and was sorted pretty much as it burst last monday. he said the antiseptic treatments were good and it has cleared. so mr twigthefknuts go forth and multiply . and as for you homophobic diatribe ... fk you !!!! .
Ms spikeyhead also thought your OP was blatantly homophobic, "outrageously homophobic" were her exact words, and she's cleverer that me, she's a doctor.
I tell you what, if you don't want to be accused of being homophobic, don't write posts in homophobic terms. That should do the trick!

Count me in on that shared opinion too.I tell you what, if you don't want to be accused of being homophobic, don't write posts in homophobic terms. That should do the trick!
Got a bad case of "my best mate[brother]'s gay therefore I cannot possibly have said something homophobic" going on there.
Re-read your posts, OP. See if you can't follow what might lead at least 3 of us to the same conclusion.
PS the deluge of swearing isn't helping much.
