Well here I am, at the start of a journey.... I need to lose weight.

Joined slimming world this week and got on those scales, I weigh in at around 25st 6lb.....

I want to weigh 17 stones, so I have to lose 8 stone.... Im 6 foot 4, Yup being tall has helped me to hide the weight but the 50" trousers are an issue.....

So wish me well, its going to be a struggle but its got to be done.

Hunger isn't your friend.... its the crusher that kills it for many.

Go to the dentist, feel the pain, the more pain the better as he is doing something, suck it up and enjoy the pain.....

yeah right....

I want to succeed and not burn with the hunger, need to work on rapid weight loss to get the ball rolling and then keep it going, get that weight down.

Got a target and Im going to get there. work on it pound by pound.

So careful eating and stepping up the exercise, I had my first weight in, weight going the right way, down. So I am well aware of eating right and not dropping onto the 'reward' food. Ive felt hungry a couple of times but generally been feeling okay. No quick fixes. its a long road but weight went on over a time so its not going to just drop off.

Check out the slimmer's world web, Yes it can be a bit twee going to a group once a week. but thousands have done it and its a little bit of moral blackmail, don't want to go in and have an increase. lol.

if you do it right and ensure that you plan your food then you need never feel hungry. Its also about breaking habits...

A non smoker but a sweet tooth and a pizza lover, now I see whats in the recipe books and quick bites that I can have that wont push the weight loss the wrong way. I pay at the pump so that the ginster monster wont bite in the forecourt shop. just small changes.

Oh and walking helps, a walk last thing at night and doing things like not taking the lift at work.

Ill get there, and ill give the apple cider vinegar a try

Thanks all -

bit of back ground - need to drop to 18 stone from 25.5 stone. I will do it, if I don't then its my own fault.

As of today Im cutting out bread sweets alcohol and takeaways, Ive got my 50th birthday celebrations out the way now and its on the way down, joined a group on facebook and its helping me understand the food monster.

I started a new job and part of the position requires me to use fall arrest and harnesses and to do that safely and still have ppe on and tools I need to be within a specific weight range. Im lucky that im being given the chance and also Im being given a reasonable time scale to do this.

Ill get down to 18 stone. and it will happen. and Ill be maintaining it !

onwards and downwards....

the bike I got is below....

Bit of a struggle of late, have a couple of ups and downs but back on focus now and working on getting the rest off. Will update in the new years after a bit of concentrated effort.

The loss has kind of bottomed out for me but I just need to get my mind into the right place again.

Wee update, Christmas went well as can be, holiday in Thailand and weight shot up 5 1/2 pounds...

back and hit the gym and monitored the food intake and got that back off. didn't like it and felt terrible about putting on the weight. guilty as charged.

Anyway weigh in tonight and got my 3 stone, still working away at it and will get that down. hope to lose another 3 stone.
