I had a cluster of sebaceous Cysts on my scalp which I had to pay privately to have surgically removed. Years later, another one has appeared on the other side of my head and has grown quite big. I can’t afford to pay to have it removed like the last ones. I’m tempted to sterilise a sharp needle and poke a small hole through the scalp so I can squeeze the contents of the cyst out. I know that this wouldn’t be a permanent fix and it would re-fill itself, but I just wondered if this was a safe/sensible thing to do for some relief? It is a rock hard highly pressurised lump under my skin and I don’t think it would take much to burst it. My GP has confirmed that it is a seb cyst and that there’s no funding to have it removed on the NHS unless it’s causing me problems which it isn’t.

If you're going to do it at least buy a proper scalpel & sterilising wipes so you don't end up with an infection.

Going by the Dr Pimple Popper videos on YT you'll need more than a needle hole to get the gunk out.
If I use a scalpel it’ll need stitching back together! Don’t see how a little pin hole won’t do the trick when it’s so highly pressurised.
