Blood after passing stool
Discussion
If your stool is hard, uncomfortable to pass it, and results in 'fresh' blood pouring into the toilet then it is likely to be a fissure.
Generally a fissure will be accompanied by a throbbing and soreness in your backside after you have just had a dump.
You can avoid fissures by always making sure your stools are the right consistency. They should not be hard, and you should not have to struggle or strain to pass them.
Check your diet and take the odd Senokot tablet if required to keep things moving as they should.
As the others say though, could be piles or otherwise, always best to get checked by your doctor.

there is no pain or itching really. i think it is medication and poor diet will try to eat more greens.
For goodness sake, just go to the doctor! When blood came out of my arse years ago, I couldn't get an appointment fast enough! Men quite literally die because they won't go to the doctors about things such as this. For your sake, please book an appointment just to make sure it isn't anything serious.
In my case it turned out to be a fissure caused by hard stools. Doctor prescribed some in-arse steroids and it was fixed in no time. Never had an issue since as I keep an eye on my diet and take to odd Senokot tablet now and again.
