Autocar long term report
Discussion
Interesting report on page 77 this week.
All quite negative but I suppose they have to write something. Fast activating immobiliser FFS! I could name a handful of cars the same or worse!
The one thing he goes on about is the lack of rear space as a 2+2 in the rear with the child seat. I have a 4 and 5 year old who often travel for a few hours in the back and love it. With no child seat. Never occurred that one was needed. Appears spot on without one. Does anyone else not bother with a child seat or am I illegal not using one?
The photo of his kid looks like he is sitting on top of the car with the use of a child seat.
And the average economy in the final summary of 40.9 mpg is fantasy (and a typo!).

Children under 12 and 135cm tall must use a car seat by law unless there are no seat belts available, travelling a short distance, are in a taxi or there are already two child seats in the rear preventing the fitting of a third.
Wow, god help me then. Car seat in front and then one behind would mean no room for children's legs. Highly over rated are legs, in any event! Interesting. Thanks.
