Viewing Evora on Wednesday HELP!
Discussion
Hi Everyone, I'm going to view an Evora on Wednesday and I'm wondering if I could have the benefit of your experience. The car is a normally aspirated 2+2 manual first registered in May of 2010. It has had three owners, done 61,000 miles, has a full service history and had the clutch replaced 10,000 miles ago. It has all 3 option packs fitted. It is said to be in excellent condition but with some 'age related marks'. It has a full mot. The sale is private so I won't get the benefit of any warranty or comeback. What I'm wondering is what sort of price should I pay for the car and is there anything in particular I should be looking out for? Many thanks for your help, Dave
It's in Guisborough in NE England. Here's the link to the ad:

Just incase that doesn't work the reg number is AU 10 BHN
Thanks,
Dave

First of all thanks everyone for your help so far. I have now been to see the car in question and have noted the following points. Due to extensive stone chipping the front spoiler/bumper needs respraying. Possibly also the front clam top. The tailgate struts struggle to hold it open. The clips holding the passenger airbag cover are broken. The boot carpet was damp on the nearside. There was a convoluted hose on the offside of the engine bay which didn't seem to be attached to anything. A couple of services have been missed and it's now due a service. Mot is due in a couple of months. Gearcables have not been upgraded and are a little obstructive when cold. In view of all this I'm thinking of offering the vendor £22,000. What do you think? Am I being unduly optimistic hoping to get it for this and if so what should I offer. Thanks again for your help, Dave
I was getting very close to striking a deal with the owner when I re read the advert and then looked at sellers 'other items for sale' Turns out he's selling several other cars as well. So presumably he's a trader posing as a private seller. Don't know if that's illegal but it's certainly morally wrong. So not sure what to do about the car now.......?????
Just a quick update to thank you all for your help and to update you on what happened. Basically I procrastinated and missed the car! I'd offered £23100 and the seller said he'd accept £23750. I should have gone for that but foolishly decided to think about it and hope to perhaps get the car for £23500. Big mistake! So the search continues..... Once again thanks for all the help.
