I doubt there's many of them on...

So i'll start a thread for them...

Samba to Anzhi?! I understand they're all big spending etc but really?! Was he that desperate to get out of ewood park?

The team's players live and train in Moscow due to security problems in Makhachkala and travel nearly 1,250 miles for home matches.
might aswell have gone to Burnley.

they didnt do too bad yesterday!!

how much of yesterday's result was a new manager bounce. i do think they've planned for relegation though.

i'm surprised they've managed to keep hold of Junior though.

yesterdays result was no surprise - it was man city but rovers were so toothless. nothing forth coming - trying to set up a counter attack against city.

do you see this new takeover bid by the fans working or failing?

Yeah hunt's been sacked for leaking the letter though he denies this. it was inevitable that he'd be sacked.

its a joke - there's some people who are saying the venky's bought the club thinking it was the IPL model where its a franchise and they wouldnt be relegated.

kean's not gone due to the signing of the new contract and the compo he'd be due - he knows this too so hence he's staying. if he had any ounce of self respect he'd leave now. saying that he was surprised to find blackburn rovers in this relegation battle shows how out of depth he is. I do think its more the owners than kean and he's been put into a difficult position - it was a great opportunity for him to manage a premier league side but now its jsut shambolic

THE END IS NIGH!!!!

he's outlasted a trophy winning manager

he's outlasted a uefa cup winning manager

he's outlasted a blue nose

he's outlasted a united legend.

but it seems like the end is nigh finally!!

a 2 day meeting with venky's in india and brett lee who is sponsored by venky's tweeted that he'd been sacked!

well not quite it seems - they want kean to take up his old job - which i have to admit he was good at

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/footbal...

i think the whole thing of compensation payable to kean is the sticking point.

maybe the end is nigh now?

once again they're trying to offer him a position elsewhere in the club and i'd be surprised if he accepts

FInally!!!

tim sherwood is the top of the list but i think we need someone like jose mourinho or maybe Alex ferguson. Then again, I have heard a certain harry redknapp loves dodgy owners...

shearer is another name but personally and being realistic i'd like to see someone like mick mccarthy or alan curbishly.

end of the day - regardless of how bad the owners are - someone will want it - if hearts can get a new manager every 3 months, if mike ashley got pardew and so on and so forth there will be someone decent coming forth.

plus the venkys seem to have some kinda structure in place now with Singh coming in and being the one who does have the power to make decisions.

I've been talking to someone who was on the coach down and it does seem he was leaned on by third parties to resign.

He asked the coach driver at one point to stop and was on the phone for 20 mins outside and later called a team meeting at the hotel and told them he had resigned and wished them luck.

It does seem to have something to do with the venkys and how they allegedly financed the clubs buyout. Some career ending dirt had been turned up which seemingly forced keans hand.

Going back over a year ago and stories like this...

Just go to show how little Steve Keane was actually involved in the footballing decisions at the club.

IMO he's been a willing stooge for the owners and the cabal of advisors and agents who are taking money out the Venkys, who are little more than rich village idiots. It's a sad story that is going to have a sad ending. Let's juts hope that they can retain enough of the fans goodwill to be there to pick up the club in the aftermath.
kean was allegedly involved in the buyout as the venkys didnt have or didnt want to put up the full amount

there's a high number being bandied around of how much kean made from the buyout personally too.

sad to be proven right after like 50 odd days

it does take soemoen with experience to do this - berg was hired to quieten the fans but it was never to be.

whilst i do consider there will be some kinda coaching capacity or perhaps scouting in india etc

i cant see hughes coming back.

A bit of breaking news for you from Blackburn tonight - who have made a move for Blackpool boss Michael Appleton.

A club statement from Derek Shaw, Managing Director of Blackburn Rovers, said: "I can confirm that we have made an official approach to Blackpool FC about our interest in speaking to Michael Appleton. This is the only candidate we have approached for the manager's job".
doubt they'll let him talk esp being appointed only recently

ilyas khan wont buy it himself - he's not got the funds to do a big club like rovers - maybe as part of a consortium?

LUFC owners are becoming available *L*

from what insiders are rovers are saying is that shebby went to india - said that appleton's playing style was the worst all season - venky's came agreed and sacked.

to be honest i was surprised they went for him in the first place.

Could it be!?

http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/footba...

could it be the turning of a point?

independent said:
Shebby Singh, the self-styled "global adviser" of Blackburn Rovers, who has presided over the farcical decline of the club in the last 12 months, is likely to be dismissed by the Indian bosses who hired him, The Independent understands.

Although Singh indicated last night that Anuradha Desai, the matriarch of the Venky's chicken empire of which Rovers are a subsidiary company, has not told him she intends to fire him, the TV mogul's tenure at Rovers appears over. This follows a Championship season which saw the club get through three managers, finish 17th and only avoid relegation on the penultimate Saturday. The Indians appear finally to be acknowledging that they need astute, experienced people from within football at the top of the club, rather than agents or moguls like Singh.
