I'm going:

Bournemouth
Everton
Leeds

One I'm least confident on is Everton. Suspect FF will get the boot by Christmas as they may get out of a jail with a new manager. Just can't see another team more likely to go down. Was between them and Fulham for me for that last spot.

Tough one - theres so many poor looking teams next year.

Bournemouth, Brentford, Palace, Everton, Fulham, Leeds, Forest and Wolves by going off the fact they're newly promoted/were awful last year are all going to be in the mix.

As a Leeds fan I hope we'll be ok. We've sold our two best players but have far more depth already with the 6 players we've brought in. Rumours about a left back inbound too as well as still chasing a new 9 should, I think/hope, see us fine. We lost our way last year due to a combination of injuries/not strengthening during January, supposedly partly due to Bielsa's stubborness and a refusal to change tactics which saw us ship 26 goals in a month or whatever it was.

I think the 3 teams who came up will struggle with Everton thrown into the mix.
Agreed it's a tough one. Reflected in the odds. Can't be "confident" anyone will go down.

Re Leeds ... despite the squad depth, tbh I think you'll struggle without Raphinia. Guy is world class, and made a huge difference to your team.

Interesting re Palace. PV has improved things there and they are decent at Selhurst. What makes you think they will go down?

So much harder to predict bottom three than top three!

A league with three good managers. And two excellent teams. Two or three teams that are good and improving, and then a load of mis-managed dross!

That's harsh
Do you think? EPL has 14 of the top 30 teams in Europe by revenue. Looked at over recent seasons, only Liverpool and Chelsea punch their weight in Europe. At a push you could just about include City, Spurs and Man U, but barely.

These things are best judged over a few seasons. Leicester we tend to think of a smaller club. They have the 15th largest revenue in Europe. West Ham, the 16th.

Leeds pulled out a miracle last season but I predict they will be bottom two and have sacked their manager by January
Based on what out of curiosity?
To be fair you were close last year, and although you've added some new players, some of them won't work out, some will take time to add value and so on. You've also lost your two best players, one of whom was a goalscorer against any opposition, which isn't easy to backfill. I think you'll be down around the drop zone come next May, but as with all the others, in with a decent chance of staying up.

Brentford - lost best player and momentum
Leeds - will get even more found out this season, but may be Bournemouth instead.
Brighton - my wild card (*). Hopefully their manager will be at Everton or Spurs by Xmas, they've lost two good players, had their day in the sun. Time to go.

(*) I'm a Palace fan.
Potter to Everton by Christmas isn't a bad shout at all.

No way can the Lampard thing carry on much longer.

Did Frank touch you in your special place? Or did you have a Mrs leave you for him? You seem to really hate him for some reason...

I'd quite like Potter though, I think he'd only leave Brighton for a top 6 club though. So maybe a shout for Spurs when Conte throws his toys out of the pram and quits wink
LOL. Fat Frank is particularly useless. It comes through in every interview he gives. He obviously cares a lot, but has no clue how to lead

At the top of the thread, pre-season, I said:

Bournemouth
Everton
Leeds

6 games in I'd stick with the first two, and possibly swap in Forest instead of Leeds. I think Forest may have gone OTT on signings. Big challenge to get the team playing well before the rot sets in.

I can't see Forest staying up. All those players and all that money and they are way out of depth in the PL.
And they were such a good team in the Championship last season, after Cooper came in and dragged them up from the relegation zone to promotion.
I think they just went way overboard on buying far too many players rather than just strengthen the squad a little where needed for the PL....madness.
Looks like it's wrecked the team, and they won't be able to recover now, after nearly a quarter of the way through the season, loosing that badly to teams around them is not a good sign. They'll do well to get into double figures in points at this rate.
I agree. Shame really as for many of us, it's great to have Forest back in the top flight. Even with some players on loan going back/end of contract etc, I can't understand why they went so far in ditching the team that got them up and bringing in 21 new players. They are going down, and they know how hard it can be to come back up.
