Hi PH'ers,Jap gurus, and scooby addicts!

I have been recently looking at purchasing a impreza, have looked at classics but they're not many around me and I don't want to travel too far to pick one up.

Insurance on a wrx sti is absolutely absurd! (£1000pcm) (yes! 1K per month?!?) Not sure why as I'm 24 6yr ncd and a wrx 2.0 is £700 a year.

Have been looking at this particular vehicle:

http://www.villagegreengarage.co.uk/used-cars/suba...

Would be coming from a mk6 golf gti: Edition 35, had previously had a e39 528i various e36 etc so had a few cars. Never driven a scooby.

What do I need to look for if I go to view this car or indeed any impreza?

I've also researched that the wrx is 221bhp, does this sound right? (Wouldn't feel that quick if I'm truthful)

Any help/information/links/abuse welcome.

The one you have linked to is about £2.5k over priced IMHO. It also has the later Blob seats with the earlier Bug dash/interior - worst of both worlds.
Thats interesting as they have also offered a smaller amount for my part ex, shame really.

I will continue a search for a 2.0 wrx.

Can you tell me cambelt intervals for the engine?
(I've read 65K / 5 years)

Thanks.
