Did they ever make one of these? My friend has a Mk1 Forester, JDM import, badged as an STI. It has Gold Rays wheels, factory recaros and a very close ratio gearbox. Is this a misbadged Turbo-S or XT or whatever theyre called, or a actual bit of JDM unicorn?

you will probably get more off the chassis number engine code , they did an early fsti in around 2000 it was mainly badging rather than an sti engine , i’m more knowledgable on the SG fsti than the earlier SF models

It’s on a UK P-reg, if I put the reg in on some car details checker thing it comes up as 2.0 with 250bhp. Definitely got a close ratio ‘box on it too.

Well, despite not k owing what model it is, and the fact the MOT ran out a year ago, I’ve bought it.

When I get eyes on the serial number how can I find out more about it?
