Wouldn't it be impossible due to lack of gravity?

What has it got to do with gravity? The tension is cause by surface shrinkage of the glass when it cools suddenly, nothing to do with gravity at all.

Mechanically inject a dollop of liquid glass into a sealed container of water.

I dont know.... could you still get the tear drop shape and tail?

Yes if you span the container of water in a centrifuge, but creating artificial g in space is a bit pointless.
Youd also have to spin the molten glass too.....

... where are we going with this? laugh
