Got an oil change due and stumbled across Kerax Hyerdrive. Never heard of them before - are they any good or one of those cheapo brands that should be avoided?

Any experiences?

Cheers

Why avoid any 'cheapo brand' if it meets the manufacturer's specifications?

I always use Mannol 5W30, it's to BMW LL04/Opel Dexos 2 spec and is absolutely fine.
Better oil performance?

But if the ´cheapo´ oil brand offers performance to the OEM spec, why avoid it?

If you´re really worried about this kind of stuff, send your used oil off for analysis, they´ll be able to tell you if it´s OK:

According to OEM specs, I only need to run my car on 97 ron fuel, but it's generally recommended to go for higher (Shell V-Power / Tesco momentum) for improved performance.

Same applies.
