confused Our Volvo V50 had its aircon recharged a couple of weeks ago. Luckily, the recharge seemed to work, and we had lovely cool air. But in the last two days the aforementioned coolness has only been coming out of the passenger side vents, while the driver cooks in a hot blast of superheated air.
What's that all about then?
Until it's sorted Mrs Blackpuddin will be doing the driving. hehe

My own research seems to be boiling down to a software issue that was done under warranty at the time on quite a few 05-06 Volvos. Summat to do with dampers. Others suggest freon level might be low. Hoping it's not that because it was only topped up within the last month and so that would mean a leak. Other others think freon level isn't it. Somebody else reckons it can be fixed by turning left temp knob full low, right one full high, then reversing the procedure, then setting the same temp for both. Somebody else thinks disconnecting and then reconnecting the battery might sort it.
Just wondering if any others on here have had similar problems with their aircon.

Think I might have dodged a bullet on this. Disconnected the battery for half a minute or so then tried the suggested fix of cranking up the AC on side to full hot and the other to full cold, then reversing that, then putting them both on the same setting, and it seems to be blowing cold - for the moment anyway.
