Hi.

I've just been looking at a colleague's 2007 Peugeot 307 2.0 turbo diesel which he says is down on power, isn't boosting properly, but otherwise running smoothly.

We found a vacuum pipe, (the end of it right in the middle of the photo) that wasn't connected to anything.

As much as we've looked, including with a mirror and torch, we can't find a home for this pipe.
It's located just in front of and to the right (as you look at it) of the oil filter housing.

Does anyone know where it should be fixed to, or anyone got one of these and wouldn't mind having a quick look?

This engine was also fitted to Peugeot 308, 407, 607, Citroen C4, C5, C8, Ford Focus, C-Max and Kuga, Volvo S40, V50, V70 and S80.

Thanks!

Ah yes, I meant to say, we are fairly sure it comes from the vacuum pump.

The HVAC all seems to be working ok, and yes, it's nowhere near any of that.

I have looked over the inlet pipe work very closely and with a mirror so I'm quite confident there isn't a 'spare' union for this little pipe.
I hadn't considered EGR delete, and that is quite feasible given its location, I'll look into that.

Thank you!
