Egr delete plate leaking gasses in cab

As said in title the egr has been deleted but the plate/gasket Is leaking gasses and they come into cab at idle. I've replaced the gasket and still the same so would anyone recommend a high heat gasket silicone instead or something else

Hi it was a carbon one new aswell but didn't change a thing, I've since been to vauxhall and bought a metal one not had a chance to fit it yet as it got dark quick after doing the first one and it failed

I've just seen on another site that someone used high heat exhaust sealant to cure this type of leak what would anyone say on this also

The egr has been removed and ports blanked with plates so no vacume hose to worry about
