THIS MIGHT BE USEFUL TO A FEW

LGV C covers LGV C1 (7.5 tonnes) so go for C

Medical - use form D4 - NEVER pay more than about £50 - google LGV DRIVER MEDICAL
http://www.dft.gov.uk/dvla/forms/~/media/pdf/forms... - print in colour only

Provisional form D2 - tick C & D ONLY - D is for PCV and the medical will then cover that if done in future

LGV theory package - good price!! - http://www.desktopdriving.co.uk/product_info.php?c...
Book all these three theory tests at the theory test centre for ONE DAY
MODULE 1a - LGV theory £35
MODULE 1b - HPT £15
MODULE 2 - INITIAL Driver cpc theory £30
Retakes on only those failed - not the lot

Book practical on-road (MODULE 3) and practical INITIAL driver cpc (MODULE 4) training with a training provider - WARNING - always VISIT the provider for a chat and to see the instructors/vehicles BEFORE PARTING WITH ANY MONEY
Cost for on-road training including test is usually between £800 to £1200
Cost for practical driver cpc training and test is between £55 and £300 depending whether it is done DURING the on-road training or AFTER it
AFTER means hiring the lorry and the instructor again

Restests are usually £250 to £300 all inclusive

To go from car to artic (B to C to C+E) I recommend having £3000 ready in case of retests
