Van for Motorbike

I have decided to get into track riding this year and I think a van will make life much easier once I have a track bike purchased. Knowing nothing about vans I was rather shocked at how expensive they are. Was thinking £1000 and that would be job done but not so sure know.

Would that get me a reliable van? Not bothered about looks I just don't want to break down when travelling?

If spending more is recommended, how much more?

I'm actually also thinking to lease a brand new VW Transporter as the overall cost over 2 or 3 years is fairly low and a Kombi model could mean I could use it ok the weekends too with the family.

Any advice would be more than welcome!
