Rear View Cameras

I have been looking at rear view parking cameras on eBay and there seem to be a lot around the £30 mark with a screen. This seems quite cheap but has anyone bought one and what were their thoughts?

Its to go on the rear of the caravan, for use when towing to see whats behind me whilst going along (Legality not sure) also for insuring that I don't hit things when reversing. I don't have a mover and there is a brick wall on my drive that I am to get close to when parking. A camera should help avoid hitting it one day!

Does anyone have any recommendations?

I am more thinking of installing the camera on the rear and adding a small connector by the electrics on the car. Then installing the screen in the dash. There is an ideal space for a 5" Screen. Might get a second camera to use for hooking up but I seem to have mastered that now anyway.

Juts needs a wipe now and then when the lense on the camera gets dirty and also make sure you wire it in robustly e.g. fuse tap and sturdy ground.

Whats the image like, comparable to the built in versions?

I’m not after wireless as when towing the car and caravan are longer then most trucks.
