Motorhome for motorsport

I am thinking of buying a motorhome to tow my racing car to a few events each year - I have previously rented one - which was woefully underpowered for the job and normally we tow the car with a Range Rover and go to a B & B

I am hoping to get some pointers with the following:
What size engine do I need to comfortably tow a trailer weighing say 900kg with trips to France, Germany etc in mind
There are only 2 of us and we are not looking for luxury just something liveable
Any recommendations on suitable motorhomes with a budget of hopefully £20k or less
Any recommended dealers in the NW

Loved the look of the race car van conversion at the show and subject to definitely getting my license back I think that is the way I will go as Mrs K takes the unbending view that a motorhome on the drive is only one step away from getting work tarmacing roads, whereas I could hide the van in the back of the garage.
