Thanks for the replies, I must have looked at most makes and been to that many shows and showrooms over the last couple of years and looking at the Bailey it seemed to be as good as any build wise. I started off with the intention of getting a German van due to the apparent build quality which I didn't think was any better than other makes, the Bailey to me seemed ok build wise. I've had a few caravans different makes with one manufacturer I wouldn't go anywhere near again due to the build quality. I'm at the point now where the layout is most important an I've come to the conclusion that unless your lucky it will leak.
I'll just have to hope I get a decent one.

The German vans just didn't do anything for me looked a bit bland small cooker no microwave and from what I seen no better than the Bailey or Auto Trail, sorry to all German van lovers.

The plus side is the wet heating which I have on my current caravan which is very good compared to the blown heating, I had vans with blown and once it's turned off seems to cool down quickly plus the Mrs has asthma not good blowing dust about.

I did speak to a chap who was on his third Bailey he purchased a new one at the show he wasn't looking to change he went for a satellite dish got a great deal on a new one and development died to change, he also said he had no problems with any of his previous vans.

It's difficult to answer this type of post as no one likes what another person likes and reading other forums the British built vans don't seem to be any worse than the continental vans they all have problems its choosing a decent dealer, possibly the biggest challenge.

Hi We bought a new Bailey Autograph pick it up a week on Monday the dealer isn't that far away so any problems straight back, build quality seems ok but we'll see how it goes. It does have the Alde heating which was a bit of a decider with the Mrs suffering with asthma less dust being blown about.
