Evening all - we are looking to hire a motor home over half term for 3-4 days. We are looking for a 4-6 berth with toilet/cooking and relaxing space. Max price £150ish per day

Can anybody recommend a good hire company? We are based in St Albans but can pick up anywhere up the M1/A1 upto Yorkshire.

Many thanks in advance, cheers

Thanks for all the responses, I have been trying the various companies but as you say it pretty late notice.

the late notice is because we were taking the kids to see their Grandparents over half terms on the outskirts of Wakefield. But unfortunately, that area is now a tier 2 covid area so we cannot stay over. The plan was to arrive and stay in a motorhome on their drive so we can still enjoy outdoor walks etc with them while being self sufficient. Hotels are of course another option but we are trying to replicate the whole 'staying at nana and grandpa' thing.

I am ringing around see if we can get a cancellation, still hopeful something will turn up!

Thanks again for your help, its much appreciated.

Spoke to a kiwi in B&Q last year and he had a motorhome on hire from Just Go, on the M1 at Flitwick so about 15mins from you, and he was v impressed at both the m/h and the fact that they picked him up and dropped him off at Heathrow. Google will find them
Thanks for the recommendation, they had one left! So we are off up north for half term or if locked down we will be parking at our own house! Thanks all for the help, looking forward to our first foray into the world of motorhomes...

Morning chaps, can anybody help with a few questions from my wife which I have no answers for.

We have hired this.

https://www.justgo.uk.com/motorhomes/navigator/nav...

Questions.
Is there any segregation between the 2 sleeping areas, like a curtain?

Will it be warm inside at night? (Late October booking)

Kids lights out will be 8.45pm - does that mean we will need to be in bed at that time as well so not to disturb them later?

Will the birds/ light wake her up in the morning?

Any advice would be appreciated!

I can see a likely scenario of her staying in a local hotel!

thanks Glen, I very much appreciate the time you spent to reply.

I know that myself and the 2 kids will absolutely love the experience of a few nights away in the Motorhome.

Chaps - many thanks for all the replies, it’s really helpful.
Still waiting to see what happens to West Yorkshire COVID level alert this week. If it goes to 3 then our plan of using the motor home to see grandparents is out of the window and we will be looking for a campsite. Cheers
