Cadac Carri Chef 2
Discussion
I have finally bought one and it arrived today. This version comes with pot stand, BBQ grid and paella dish. No idea how many people they think one needs to feed with the size of the paella dish but never mind.
Some questions though:-
What accessories does everyone have? You can spend a lot on accessories which are worth it? Seems to me the paella dish could serve as the chef dish & skottel. Am I right? What about the grill 2 braai and BBQ 2 plancha? Are they worth it? Roasting dish, pizza plate anyone?
What gas does everyone use and is there a maximum length of gas pipe? The caravan runs on propane but no external outlet. Real pain extracting a gas bottle can I use a long pipe from the spare? Or Am I better running on butane and using the same bottles I cart to Le Mans for the fridge?

Thanks ordered a few extra bits now! Real problem is regulators and the quick release fitting. Caravan has propane bottles, for Le Mans I use the littlish camping gaz butane bottles with screw connection but at home I have a couple of large Calor gas bottles with the snap on fitting. So I need 3 regulators!
Used the Cadac a lot whilst in Cornwall. I have the BBQ grill, the half and half thing, the Paella dish, and the roasting pan. Managed to use them all. Cleaning the roasting dish and Paella disk was a cinch. The ribbed things a nightmare. however I started using the silicon sheets on them and they really do work. Make no different to the cooking, but easy to clean and no muck on the ribbed things. Others in the campsite struggling to clean them were off to buy the silicon sheets!
