The thread in Films & TV got me started on this, yet when I mentioned it down the pub, just about everyone I know is telling me to start reading this series. Though it's not my usual fare, I've downloaded Killing Floor and expect to start it later this week.

Thanks for kind offer, but I'm all kindled up these days.
Hopefully your generosity extends to all PHers. wink

Quite looking forward to some light entertainment now. nerd

I'm reading Killing Floor - quite enjoying it.
Easy reading but no nasty, ridiculous twists you sometimes find in some 'low-brow' fiction. Haven't finished it yet though so I may yet be disappointed. hehe

Killing Floor is first in the series, and I think the author's first novel. They improve, though they're not literary genius the stories become a little more complex and his writing style matures. I find them 'page turners' and get through them in a day or three.
My thanks to whoever it was on PH who recommended Reacher.

Saw the film last night. Disappointing in that it wasn't very much in keeping with the novel or character, though as a standalone film it was okay. 3 stars-ish.

I'm too tight. hehe
I'll wait until the price drops - £7.20 is way too rich for my blood. I've read the others and they were all less than £4 each IIRC.

That price was September last year.
I paid £5.84 in January but it's now £3.49 - don't know when prices were reduced, but proof a little patience can save a few bob.

Heh. I read the lot back-to-back and was disappointed when I got to the end.

Enjoying Robert Crais's Elvis Cole/Joe Pike series now.

Looks like it took me about a year. I started this topic July 2012 and in July 2013 I posted that I was up to date and had started reading the Robert Crais books. Still reading them, currently at The Watchman.
I generally have a couple or three of books on the go; one light fiction like these, a sci-fi novel and something non-fiction.

Finally got round to getting Midnight Line.
Rather fallen out of love with Jack Reacher for the last year or two, but this is, so far great fun - a return to form.

So easy to put down only to pick up again when I get ten minutes. Wish I could find other similarly paced, action/crime books - formulaic or not.
