What books would you recommend? Open to biographies, history, manuals.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm new to the subject, but my interest has been prompted by how Ukraine is doing against a supposedly superior Russia force.

I guess ideally I'd like something which combines 'The basics of military tactics' with 'here's a ripping yarn'.
