Hi, wondering if anyone can help on this subject, I just purchased a Renault Clio 172 sport 2 days ago. When Driving there is a loud buzzing/humming noise comming from the rear of the car. The faster I go the louder it seems to get until I hit about 80mph. It's def not a hole in the egsaust. I spoke to a Renault dealer on the phone and they said it might be a bearing thats gone?? But the noise doesn't get any worse on bends and it also doesnt change in pitch with the engine. I've taken a few people out in it and they havn't got a clue what it is either. Any good adivce would be appeciated. Thanks B.

Checked all the supports/ bolts etc, there all on fine. It's not like a lose knocking sound, it's a constent deep humming, buzzing noise, gets very loud.

Just been out in it again with a guy who knows a bit about cars, we established that the noise stops when I turn the car left, not sure if it's comming from the front or back now, but it does start at about 20 mph and gets louder. He said mayby something to do with the disks or pads not being aligned properly. He said def not a bearing problem as the steering wheel is steady as is the gear nob. on a private road, over 80mph it seems to get quiter. HELP?

I honestly can't remember what tires are on there, I'll check, I know there about 1 month old, the guy I bought it off said the noise has been on the car since he had it from last June so I don't think it's a tire problem. He said I thought it was just a noisy car....I dont think so pal.
