What does this mean for the Force India F1 team?

Rumour is that Force India has been for sale for some time with a price tag of £250 million. Optimistic at best is what I would call that price tag, be lucky to get even half that even with the allegations against him.
If thats the case then maybe a cheap way for VW Group (through one of the brands Audi/Porsche/Lamborghini/Bugatti/Bentley/SEAT/Skoda) to get into F1?

It would make sense if one of the above were to be interested in F1.

But after BMW, Toyota, Honda etc. would any new manufacture want to enter F1.

I really hope Force India can stay in F1 as they really do bring a lot to the grid.

To lose them would be a big loss.

Well there was an F1 engine meeting held in Paris a few weeks ago which was to discuss the F1 engine regs from 2020 onwards.

There was confirmed reports that the Lamborghini CEO Stefano Domenicali was there in attendance (sent by VAG to join the discussion).

Maybe if they purchase a current F1 team behind the scenes and also start developing their 2020 engine we might see them appear.

I just find it funny that this team was originally Jordan GP then Midland F1 then Spyker F1 then Force India.

They have seemed to do very well with the restricted budget compared to the other teams around them.

I still prefer the livery from the launch car tho.

Right now it looks vomit

If FI is for sale, then wouldn't one of the rumoured potential Manor buyers be sniffing around?
I bet they are waiting for Vijay Mallya to be forced to sell his share and pick it up on the cheap.

Or maybe the same legal problems that Manor had (lawsuit from Jules Bianchi family) has scared them away from Force India (Mallya dodgy fraud deals)?
