Um, did no-one test this before the season started? Can't see diddly apart from the Halo.................

Hope they fix that soon.

Exactly that. And the Lewis footage is also similar. Looked like Hulk's footage was not so bad but still..... They seriously need to fix this.

All the money that has been spunked on this, and yet it appears noone considered the TV viewer, which ultimately is the key income source for the sport.
Exactly. I can't quite believe just how useless the picture is and how the hell this got approved. I mean, the in car footage makes a massive difference to the TV viewer.

A couple of the cars appear to have a camera which means you can see perhaps 50% more..... FP2 had a couple of onboards where I actually saw a corner as the car approached. Not sure why all teams can't have this.

What has the camera mounting position got to do with the teams? They just put them where they are told to, hence them having to have nine months notice.
What is odd is that a couple of the cameras give almost acceptable views. Other cars (McLaren and Merc for example) give a view of the Halo and little else....

Yeah what annoys me is that I like to look at the wheel and see how/where they steer in, change gear etc.. Now I've no idea where the apex is in most of the cars....

It would be very difficult to make it strong enough. It's integrated right into the chassis and the test weights it has to undergo are massive.
Sky F1 have said a few times it is 10 tonnes or a double decker bus.......... Quite impressive really, but watching the drivers try to get out, if one of those cars catches fire I think we will have serious issues.

They still have to be able to get out of the car in a set time, but that set time did increase when the halo was introduced.
Exactly. If you have to increase the time to exit.............
