Nail in the coffin for Bottas signing a new Mercedes contract beyond 2019 I think...
Don't think any (driver) changes will happen at Merc until LH has 22 more podiums & another 19 race wins, unless VB does not want sign an extension (& 22 podiums 19 wins is more than a little tight over the next 22 races), can't see Merc wanting to force change any to any aspects of the current environment they will want VB there to ensure its done over the next 42/43 races.HustleRussell said:

this race is such a boring waste of time the finale of the season should be Sao Paulo or somewhere equality capable of producing a 'race' rather than a procession.
To save anyone watching here is my prediction of the 'race' (event would be a closer description) - described by a heart rate monitor taken from spectators at last years event.
The interesting bit was the first 30 seconds then zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
What happened on the edit, did you get distracted/excited?!? To save anyone watching here is my prediction of the 'race' (event would be a closer description) - described by a heart rate monitor taken from spectators at last years event.

Your post above is almost exactly why I’m pretty much done with this place, if your not interested why post!
PU Watch
Incredible reliability from the Merc/Ferrari (inc their customer teams).
To think these are the fastest cars seen in F1, using roughly a 1/3 of the fuel seen in the v10's, using only 3 complicated 1.6l 900 hp hybrid PU's over 20+ races, and fighting a close WDC/WCC.
I remember a time of Quali engines, and perhaps 4/5 additional PU's brought to the race weekend.
No mention of any penalties yet, but we can be virtually certain on the Toro Rosso's, I'm curious to see if they are going to use one per session as "testing".

Turbo Hybrid era 2014 >
RBR 12 wins
Ferrari 14 wins
That old renault/tag bag of bolts not to bad eh! (plus the races that the RBR drivers have self destructed on).
Maybe as much to do with the RB chassis as the engine? Given that in 5 years no one else has won with that engine? RBR 12 wins
Ferrari 14 wins

Even this yr it’s 6 to 4 for Ferrari (which was the hot favourite to win), and that’s also with red bull taking 200+ grid place penalty’s (not all necessarily for Renault derived PU problems).

People talking Red Bull Honda down are in for a surprise IMO.
Finishing races yes, podiums yes, winning races possibly, contending either championship no chance...TBH, if they find themselves ahead of Renault in the WCC (even if they go backwards as such) it will be a stepping stone.
If Williams and Mclaren sort out the 2018 Aero/Flaw issues for the 2019 cars, they could be towards the back.
