Engine manufacturer championship

Whilst not completely even in that some manufacturers only have 2 teams to draw points from and others have 3 it could still be interesting.
Assuming that the best 4 positions of your engine count towards the points Ferrari could be the winners of this.

Yes looks that way. Honda are missing some easy points if Gasly was up to speed as well.

Renault really floundering and relying on mclaren for most of their points.
Mercedes don't even need a 3rd and 4th driver to get them extra points.

Honda's biggest haul of points. All cars picking up a solid result. Ferrari really dropping the ball with only 2 points finishers. Renaults = best points haul and could have been so much better.

Renault were close to beating Honda on points but Sainz getting mugged at the end swung it against them.

Hondas best finish but without the 2nd line team performing and arguably Gasly not performing as the same car won and lapped him its not their best points haul.
Mercedes if they don't win have had no support from the 2nd and 3rd teams so worst gp for them

This works for now for 1 quite amazing reason. Due to alfa's exclusion from Germany no engine has had 5 or 6 points finishes in the same race. At best they have got 4

Ferrari fast clearly but as Paul put it to finish first first you must finish. Part of the reason I am not against the engine penalties. You want to make a monster power fast engine at the expense of reliability heres the cost not in direct financial terms.
