Official 2021 Styrian and Austrian GP thread **SPOILERS**
Discussion
After a fantastic French GP, we’re onto rounds 8 and 9 in consecutive weekends at the Red Bull Ring, hence one thread for both events.
After three Red Bull wins, you’d be brave to bet against the team taking two more victories here despite Lewis driving outstandingly well. Expect lots of slip-streaming and overtaking.

Not a classic but a good result.
So many people at the start of this year said Max has got no chance, makes too many mistakes cant handle the pressure
I don't remember a single credible poster saying he had 'no chance'. Many rightly questioned his temperament but that's not the same thing. So many people at the start of this year said Max has got no chance, makes too many mistakes cant handle the pressure
Are you sure you didn't just make that up to score some strange imaginary internet points or something?

Not sure about this two races in one thread approach, I fear at the end of the week we will have people still commenting on the Austrian Grand Prix rather than the Austrian Grand Prix.
It didn't work last season and it was split. Appreciate the effort required to put these together but definitely need a separate thread for the next race.dunc_sx said:
Question for people in the know regarding how much engine swapping goes on. Is it restricted to between weekends or is there planned engine swaps during the weekend?
Rgds,
Dunc.
You can change engines, gearboxes, electronics whenever you like, up to the limits for each item before a penalty. Occasionally teams will slot an old engine back in if the new one is problematic, and that’s “free”. Doesn’t tend to happen often in race weekends as it’s disruptive to the planned programme. Rgds,
Dunc.

I wonder just how much moaning Horner did? He really is a thoroughly dislikeable ***.Horner yapping in masi's ear eventhough he said it was a racing incident live on tv

I don't think they can turn the engine up or down any more, can they?
There is a reliability exemption but you have to turn it way down - basically only used if the alternative was not finishing at all.But you can shift at lower revs and take care of the engine
