Round 7 already and we’re in Monaco. Spain was a surprisingly good race, so you never know. The cars will be big old boats around this circuit and will be much slower than previous years.
Slow corner form suggests Ferrari for the win, and you’d back Leclerc to put it on pole. Hamilton generally doesn’t go well here (see last year) so it could be another opportunity for Russell to stake his claim.
Ricciardo really needs a good weekend, particularly if Norris is too ill to race and Piastri is in the other car.
Here’s to a great race.
Date(s): Friday 27 May to Sunday 29 May 2022.
UK Broadcast Timings (and local time)
All sessions are live on Sky F1. Qualifying and the race are shown as highlights on Channel 4.
Live timing for all sessions available here:

Lap times, PU component use, technical reports and Stewards' decisions for the weekend will appear here:

Weather forecast:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2993458
Tyre options:
Pirelli has chosen the softest range of tyres, so C3, C4 and C5. The old Q2 tyre rule is scrapped for 2022.

“Hamilton doesn’t go well here” best not mention Charles’ record here then!
A paltry 3 wins. What a loser! Monaco is statistically one of his worst tracks.

I can't imagine Monaco particularly suited the previous generation Mercedes with its enormous wheelbase. This year there's not much to choose between the cars in terms of wheelbase is there? Although I seem to remember the Alfa is a bit shorter than most.
That's an interesting point, I guess the red Bull would have been a bit handier around Monaco. He's clearly not too bad with 3 wins Nova Gyna said:
Hamilton's career as a driver is clearly over, so his name can be retired from the vote.
Remove Perez from the list as well. Only Max is permitted to win in a Red Bull.
Danny Ric couldn't fall off a camel and hit sand. Get rid of him.
Sainz appears to have lost the art of cornering. Bye Carlos.
Seb and Freddo last won a race in 1983. Delete, delete, delete.
That leaves only George, Lando, Max, and Charles. But, as only Max and Charles are winning this season, we might as well drop George and Lando too.
There you have it, Piginapoke, just the two options for the next thread, and look how much easier you've made it for the hard of scrolling.
Much appreciated, that will save me a lot of time! Remove Perez from the list as well. Only Max is permitted to win in a Red Bull.

For many years I and perhaps many thought it was a fluke win for Panis even though in the 90s I religiously read Autosport front to back. He famously said he was going to win the Monaco Grand Prix during the morning of the race. TV coverage wasn't as good. You have to read race reports recounting Panis' amazing drive and he pulled off some amazing overtakes, IIRC one on Irvine at the swimming pool complex.
I remember it well, and picking up my Autosport each week (Thursday?) from the newsagent who was also an F1 fan.rdjohn said:
Its going to be Radio 5 for me this weekend.
Turned on the TV for P1 yesterday, 5-mins in the screen went blank. Got an old TV from the loft that I have been keeping for such an occasion - no HDMI inputs.??
Oh well, the pictures will probably be better.
