Round 10 and we’re back to Silverstone. A proper circuit that should suit the new cars, expect quick times. There will hopefully be none of the controversy of 2021….
The big question will be if Mercedes can sort the bouncing out around what is a fast track. It’s hard to see past a Red Bull win for me, although Leclerc badly needs a win and will be quick.
For Channel 4 viewers, qualifying and the race are live- enjoy!
Here’s to a great race.

I still don’t understand why the didn’t double pit both the Ferraris? Would have been extremely easy to engineer a bit of a gap and double stack. Pretty much nailed on 1-2 if they didn’t hit each other.
What were they hoping to achieve leaving CLC out on old hards?
They had plenty of time to pit leclerc under the SC, Perez was miles back. It was a stupid decision to keep him out on used hards. What were they hoping to achieve leaving CLC out on old hards?

Has there been any talk about the roll bar getting torn off Zhou's car.
That shouldn't happen,should it?
I'm not sure that it did. That shouldn't happen, should it?
The camera mounts went (obviously) but the part where the roll bar sits appeared intact when they pulled the car back out. And providing the halo's integrity is maintained the need for the roll hoop isn't as profound as it once was.

And whilst Zhou had the most graphic crash, it was Albon that needed hospital checks. It goes to show that the serious ones are often not the ones that look the most dramatic. Albon got properly bashed around by a couple of cars but it kinda went unnoticed in all the drama.
Zhou's crash looked spectacular but if you look at the spectator footage for the other side of the catch fencing it looks like he was doing about 30mph when he finally vaulted over the tyre-wall and into the catch fencing. The highest G-force he suffered was probably when the car landed upside down for the first time near the start of the accident. Albon was punted into a concrete wall, fortunately at a fairly shallow angle, but I think it was a far bigger impact than anything Zhou suffered.
