I'm going on Saturday and Sunday on a general admission ticket. Traveling with National Holidays. It will be our first time there so any tips on the best position to watch the race will be helpful. I am also presuming that there will be large screens everywhere to cover the whole track.
Are there loudspeakers that cover the race commentary?
There's some good info here:Are there loudspeakers that cover the race commentary?

Taking my 12yo, first time for us. Not cheap is it but doing full 3 days and staying in a hotel as not really into camping. Really looking forward to it.
What sort of time do you have to arrive Saturday and Sunday? Sitting in Copse.
Your grandstand ticket will be 'roving' and gets you into any grandstand on Friday and Saturday, you will only be limited to Copse for Sunday. What sort of time do you have to arrive Saturday and Sunday? Sitting in Copse.
The great thing about having a seat is that you don't have to get there stupidly early to stake out a spot. On Saturday the Formula 3 race starts at 955, but I think I will aim to get there in time for the historic F1 cars which start at 1050. Then it is F1 FP3 at midday, the W series race at 1325, and F1 qualifying at 3. Then the F2 race starts at 5 and I will probably stay for that.
Whereabouts is the hotel you've booked? I was tempted to book for Friday night but think I will just drive down on Saturday morning from home since it's not necessary to be there horribly early.

Looks like Gumtree is a good option. Guess buying tickets here or eBay is safe? What do I need to look out for?
I arranged a call with the seller on Gumtree and did a bank transfer to him whilst we were on the phone. As soon as he saw the money come in he emailed me the pdf ticket. eBay should be fine too, although I think the tickets tend to sell for more there. Another option is Facebook Marketplace. Just be sure to liaise with the seller to ascertain whether they come across as legit or not. eBay will of course protect you if there is an issue.

What's to stop him selling that PDF to someone else - whoever arrives first gets in and everyone else ends up with a "used" ticket?eBay should be fine too, although I think the tickets tend to sell for more there. (I can download the ticket as many times as i like in their portal)
ETA.
I guess he could still do what you've pointed out though. So I am taking a chance on him not being a crook, but I did notice that he immediately ended the Gumtree listing once we'd done our deal.

My Brother and I will be there on Sunday sat in Club Corner Looking up the Hamilton Straight.
I think that's probably where I will go for qualifying. it's a good spot as you get to see the cars out of Stowe into and out of Vale, and then through Club and up towards the finishing line.Sammo123 said:
My Brother and I have got general admission for Sunday
I don't think there's much chance of us being there at the crack of dawn but hopefully we'll still find somewhere to sit with a decent view of the track and a screen.
Where is recommended to sit with GA tickets? Last time I went about four years ago we sat at Maggotts and could see most of what was going on.
The GA section in front of The Vale has always looked like a good spot. (As observed from my grandstand seat at Club). I don't think there's much chance of us being there at the crack of dawn but hopefully we'll still find somewhere to sit with a decent view of the track and a screen.

What are the queues like on Fri/Sat normally for the car park 1 onsite parking? I know Sunday is likely to be horrendous, but wondering how early to set off...
It's a fine art but I like to arrive later than the early rush. This is no good if you have only general admission of course. However, if you have a seat you don't need to worry so I'm planning to arrive around 10 AM. Then, a 25-minute walk to the circuit from the car park and probably take a seat at Woodcote to watch the Historic F1 cars which are on at 1050-1105. Shiv_P said:
