So got my renewal today , a whole 110% more than last year with no claims or points in the last 12 months to affect my premium. Now if I change the home address from London to my sisters place (Bristol) goes down to £620 , compare that to my new renewal of £2100 that is a bargain. I know postcode makes a slight difference however £1500 is a bit extreme!

I rang them and they are not interested quoting blah blah blah accident filled winter bla blah blah, the cheapest I got from the meerkat was £1000 but that is still excessive and dont really want to deal with any of the elephant affiliated companies

The car is tdi vag estate worth about 10k

Any ideas ?

Try tiger.co.uk, they seem more competitive than the other comparisons at the moment...by some margin!

Elephant quoted me and my younger brother as named driver on my car , took out the policy and when I examined my paperwork he wasn't on it . I explained this to customer services and a they said we are going to listen to the recorded calls logged with us first , to which I said fine . Due to something made up they said I have to ask them in writing to listen to my calls , that paperwork took 8 months to arrive , 3 months after I sent it back they wrote to me telling me they lost the recording .

  • This is because I'm younger, I've gone from £2000, £1500, to £1100 and checked for next year it will be £800.
Thanks !
