Was just wondering how many of you have your top down literally every time you're in the car, or does the roof stay up unless it's scorchingly hot outside?

Also have any of you received abuse? I had my first the other night, granted it was late in the evening and not particularly hot but a few guys decided to call me a ....

I think there might be some truth in the "what car you drive" theory.

If I was driving a mini cooper convertible with the roof down in the cold I'd be a , but if I was in a Gallardo convertible in the snow I'd get thumbs up?

It's odd though, before I did used to wonder why people had their roofs down when it wasn't "hot", but it's not about the weather, it's the feeling you get with the roof down, it totally transforms the drive for me personally.

I would never have shouted abuse though

Always down unless raining. Had abuse in the Boxster (other drivers giving it the beans) but never in my MX5s.
There seems to be hate for people in boxsters for some reason, what amkes me laugh are comments you'd hear from people in dull hatchbacks calling it a crap car, or poor mans porsche.

Absolutely clueless....

Never had any abuse. But then again i am slightly bigger than the average guy (thank you rugby training and weight lifting!).

I don't think abuse is only at "little" people, people that shout abuse don't really care who they shout it at, as they know most people won't do anything.

I haven't had any abuse sitting in traffic, and luckily only received my first bit of abuse the other day, as the car was moving.
