986 Boxster S with a couple of goodies or a straight out the box Z3M Roadster?

Weekend Hoon car with a European trip thrown in.


Which would you pick and why?

Has to be a 'vert. Will only be kept for the summer and then chopped in for probably a 964 C4.

986S I'd change the suspension and the exhaust and maybe a couple of engine parts.

Z3MR i'd give it straight pipes and that's about it.


I'd lose more on the Boxster when i come to sell it i reckon.

Not for the forseeable mate. Need a house with a big garage before I can start any of that again. Back in a shirt and tie for the mean time (oh the shame).

There was one being used properly on the Scottish Hoon last weekend. Impressed a few people by all accounts.

That's what i love about my daft Mr2, it surprises lots of folk. The BoxsterS is the next logical step up in build (only just in on the road performance).

Had a good nosey round a 2.2 z3 last weekend, the boot is a lot smaller than i thought it would be.

Boxster with a few upgrades on it might well make a better proposition.
