Harnesses - Road Legal - MOT

I've just bought myself some bucket seats for my scimitar ss1 and I'm going to be fitting harnesses in, I'm just wondering that if I am fitting EEC road legal harnesses do I still need the original seat belts for MOT? Or are the harnesses enough?

Ahh, it shouldn't be too bad, the harness i'm looking just has the one push button latch in the centre and it's only a weekend/track/fun car
